The Unalome Institute was a concept for a private therapy and wellness practice focused on mindfulness and growth. Although the organization ultimately did not launch, the branding project offered an opportunity to explore visual identity design rooted in symbolism and emotion.
The logo centers on the unalome, a traditional Buddhist symbol representing the path toward enlightenment — a line that twists, turns, and ultimately straightens as one approaches clarity. I paired this mark with soft typography and a muted purple palette to evoke calm, balance, and introspection.
Even as a conceptual project, the design reflects my approach to identity work: translating abstract ideas — in this case, personal transformation — into a clean, memorable visual form. The result is a mark that feels both grounded and aspirational, suitable for a brand built around mental and emotional wellness.
